Google are doing their bit for online businesses by offering a $340 million giveaway of Google Ads credits to small to medium sized businesses. This is a great chance for eligible businesses to increase their Google adverting exposure at zero cost.
Google have a specific team to assess whether you are a SMB, but for guidance they quote “local stores to companies with hundreds of employees”.
Google do have an eligibility criterion – you must have spent money on Google Ads in 10 months in 2019 and either January and/or February of 2020. If you have done so and followed Google’s policies, then you may be entitled to the free credits.
Starting in late May, Google will begin to distribute the credits to eligible SMBs and they can be used throughout and until 31st December 2020.
Credits can be used across Google’s advertisement range, including YouTube. If you receive a credit, it is good chance to increase your brand engagement and drive up profits.
